Delicious and Easy Homemade Snacks

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are enough to keep your mind and body working well, but getting hungry in between these meals is only normal. When you’re at office and working, chai breaks with colleagues are a common occurrence and a couple of biscuits, a samosa, or a vada pav at the tapri is a given with the tea. However, what happens when you’re working from home? Do you order something for your afternoon snack? Get on to a food delivery app, scroll through it only to order the same paneer momos or veg cheese grill? Eating the same thing for days can be boring and eating out consistently is not healthy either. Read on for a few quick, easy and delicious recipe ideas.

To begin with, a club sandwich is always a good idea. Put together your favourite ingredients between two slices of bread and you’re ready to go. The complexity of this sandwich can depend on the amount of time you have at hand. If you’re looking for something gluten-free and protein-rich, chickpea flour chillas are a great option. Just mix the flour with water, salt, chilli or pepper, and throw in vegetables of your choice. The batter must look like one of pancakes. Once ready, cook it on a hot stove and enjoy with mint chutney, mayonnaise or a sauce of your choice. Want something heartier and spicy? Veg momos are just what you need. Making them from scratch may be a lengthy process but cooking the frozen ones will have you sorted in a matter of minutes. Once ready, dunk these into a spicy chilli chutney or tangy tomato one and enjoy. Want to go light? Turn to fruits. A smoothie bowl with your favourite fruits, some yoghurt, topped with some nuts and seeds is perfect to get you to dinner without starving or feeling extremely full.
